The very first thing all of our animals get is their own collar and leash. Eventually, they end up with a harness to keep them safely restrained during pet outings.
If you have multiple dogs, I’ve found a coupler double leash works great—you only need one leash to walk two dogs at once. This is a convenient option for walking multiple pets while keeping them under control, whether you’re navigating your neighborhood, the vet’s office, or a busy public space.

PET TRACKING & ID TAGS
We use AirTags on our dogs’ and cats’ collars, along with glow-in-the-dark collars or tags to help keep track of them—day or night! Whether you’re at home, in the backyard, visiting friends, or staying at a new location, pets can slip away in an instant. Sometimes at the RV park, they wander off. Same with van life, making frequent stops at different and new locations.
Even when you’re right there, accidents happen—and that’s why ID tags and trackers are a must. These small tools make a big difference in reuniting you with your pet quickly if they ever go missing.

We have poop bags stashed everywhere—in the RV, stroller, cases, cars, and coat pockets. You just never know when your dog will need to go! In the RV van, we keep them in the door for quick access. For the stationary travel trailer, we use a pooper scooper instead.
